A Higher Purpose
Show public support for the right to life. Knights of Columbus councils are encouraged to participate in or sponsor local, state/province, regional or national Marches for Life. Councils that coordinate at least 50 participants or who organize a local March for Life will receive credit for this program.

The Knights of Columbus encourages others to choose life through public support of the pro-life cause. Knights can organize and participate in local/state/province/regional Marches for Life. Chapter 12126 will promote participation in the National March with a particular focus on increasing our presence and participation in the Georgia March for Life in Atlanta in January 2019.

On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court legalized abortion throughout the United States in its companion decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton. Since that time, millions of children have lost their lives and millions of women and families have been wounded by abortion.

In 2020, this dreaded anniversary falls on the same day as the Georgia March for Life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Please join parishioners and friends of St. Anthony’s and St. Catherine’s in showing our support for life by marching in Atlanta on this day. A signup sheet is available in the back of church on the bulletin board. We will be taking the pilgrimage in several 15 passenger vans. Transportation is free thanks to the Knights of Columbus, but seating is limited so please sign up early. Additional carpools may be arranged if necessary.  Please sign up by January 13 so that we may plan appropriately. Thank you, and God bless you.
